Service
Newton’s is an OpenAI-compatible API routing service. Features, model availability, upstream processors, published prices, and traffic policies may change as the service evolves. No production service-level agreement is included unless separately signed.
Promotional credit
An eligible, verified customer may receive $5.00 in promotional API service credit. The promotional balance expires seven days after it is issued, is limited to one grant per eligible verified identity or network within the published promotion window, and cannot be sold, transferred, redeemed for cash, or refunded. We may withhold, cancel, or recover promotional credit when we reasonably identify duplicate accounts, automated farming, false information, payment abuse, or attempts to bypass promotion controls.
Account verification and security messages
During a limited key-only launch, account creation may use Cloudflare Turnstile and network-level abuse controls instead of a mobile number. The API key is shown once and can later be exchanged for a secure dashboard session. A key-only account cannot be recovered if every active key and every browser session are lost. When mobile verification is offered, passwordless sign-in requires a supported mobile number; VoIP, landline, toll-free, invalid, and unclassified numbers are not eligible. By requesting a code, you consent to receive one transactional SMS security code for that request from Newton’s. Message and data rates may apply. Message delivery may be delayed or unavailable because of carrier or network conditions, and carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Reply STOP to opt out where supported; reply HELP or email founders@newtons.dev for help. Opting out prevents SMS-based access until another supported authentication method is offered. Consent to security texts is not consent to marketing texts.
Solo and Team memberships
Solo and Team are recurring monthly memberships purchased through Stripe Checkout. Solo is intended for one person. Team includes five seats. Every verified route published in the Newton’s catalog is included for legitimate, human-driven interactive use without a daily or monthly token cutoff. The plan price, renewal date, included seats, rate limits, concurrency, policy status, and other applicable boundaries are shown before purchase and in the dashboard. You may cancel or update an active membership through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless the portal states otherwise. RPM, concurrency, safety, route capacity, and model availability continue to apply. Credential sharing, resale, scraping, attacks, compromised-key activity, and unattended or disguised automated workloads are not included and may result in a warning, temporary restriction, or security lock with a stated reason. Cost alone is not a reason to restrict otherwise legitimate interactive use. Automated loops and unattended bulk workloads belong on the prepaid Agents lane.
Purchased service credit
The Agents lane offers one-time balance top-ups in the U.S.-dollar amounts displayed by the dashboard and checkout at the time of purchase. Each top-up is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically. Purchased service credit is non-transferable, has no cash value, and is consumed at the published model rates in effect when a request is accepted. Purchased credit does not expire while the account remains open, except where applicable law permits otherwise after prolonged account inactivity or closure.
Pricing and balance
Model prices are published in U.S. dollars and may distinguish input, output, cached-input, reasoning, tool, or fixed-request charges. The dashboard and API may show estimated costs before final usage is known. The final charge is based on measured usage and the applicable published rate. Agents requests stop when the available balance cannot cover the required reservation. Solo and Team membership usage is included and never automatically converts to a paid overage. Newton’s does not create an open-ended usage bill or extend credit.
Routing and model identity
A request for a specific published model ID remains pinned to that ID unless you explicitly request a documented fallback. Newton’s does not silently replace it to reduce cost, and an unconfirmed or mismatched reported ID fails closed. Routes may be suspended when capacity, identity, pricing, authorization, or safety requirements cannot be verified. Any future automatic-routing option will identify itself as automatic and publish its routing policy separately.
Upstream processing and credentials
Published routes may use one or more upstream inference processors and routed model providers. Yunwu API is a current inference processor, and Newton’s may use other configured suppliers for particular routes. Your Newton’s API key authenticates your request to Newton’s and is not forwarded as a supplier credential. Some routes may use an account-scoped supplier credential; others may use Newton’s shared upstream service credentials. Per-customer supplier-credential isolation is therefore route- and configuration-dependent, not a guarantee for every request. These processing arrangements do not change the pinned-model behavior or the receipt provided for an accepted call.
Refunds, disputes, and reversals
Top-ups are generally non-refundable after service credit is used, except where required by law or when we confirm duplicate or erroneous billing. Approved refunds remove the associated unused balance. A payment reversal, chargeback, or dispute may cause the related balance to be reversed and the account to be restricted. If reversed credit has already been consumed, we may suspend further requests until the outstanding balance is resolved. Contact us before initiating a dispute so we can investigate billing errors promptly.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful activity, credential abuse, attempts to evade provider restrictions, denial of service, unauthorized scraping, or extraction of protected model behavior. Rate, concurrency, request-size, safety, fraud, and model-availability controls still apply. We may suspend traffic or accounts when reasonably necessary to protect customers, payment systems, upstream capacity, or the service.
